Regular programs vs. one time Events
At Saint Andrew’s we offer some regular programing and a lot of irregular one-off events, which provide a variety of topics for personal and community contemplation.
Our regular programs give you the knowledge that something will be happening: we have three regular groups for adults; Benedictine group, Theologists and Tuesday bible study. We also offer bimonthly Children Chapel.
- Theologists is an open group who gather for pancakes and discussion on areas of academic theology and faith, led by group members.
- The Benedictine Group meets at 11:00 each Wednesday, for approximately one hour in the library at St. Andrews. We begin with a time of silence, an opening prayer, followed by the prayerful reading of a psalm. We then read and discuss a portion of the Rule of Benedict. Currently we are using ‘Heart Whispers’ by Elizabeth J. Canham. We end with a simple noon-day service that includes intercessory prayer. We take turns leading or facilitating our time together.
